Here are the updated cliff notes with the discounts removed and the new travel equipment security policy added:

Billing & Account Terms

  • 28-Day Cycle: Rentals bill automatically every 28 days (not calendar months). No pro-rating or refunds for early returns.
  • Autopay Required: Must keep a valid card on file. If payment declines, you have 48 hours to update it before a $25 late fee is applied and repossession is threatened.
  • Cancellations: Must give 48 hours' notice prior to the renewal date to stop the next charge.
  • Rent-to-Own: 50% of payments from the first 3 months can go toward purchasing a new unit (expires day 90).

Travel Equipment Purchases & Safety

  • Refundable Down Payment: Purchases of travel-related products (scooters, Portable Oxygen Concentrators [POCs], power chairs, etc.) require a $300 to $600 refundable down payment.
  • Airlines: You can fly with mobility devices, but must give 72 hours' notice to get a required Battery Safety Data Sheet. You remain 100% liable for airline damage and must handle claims directly with them.

Equipment Use & Fees

  • Damage Liability: Normal wear-and-tear is covered. Negligence (spills, pet damage, improper outdoor use) is billed at $95/hour + wholesale parts cost.
  • Scooters & Power Chairs: Batteries must be charged daily for 6–8 hours. Ruining a battery through chronic non-charging carries a $150–$300 replacement fee.
  • Missed Appointments: A $50 "dry run" fee applies if you are not home for a scheduled delivery or pickup.
  • Hospital Beds: Must use a waterproof mattress protector. Returning a mattress with biological stains triggers an immediate $250 replacement fee.
  • Stolen Gear: An official police report must be submitted within 48 hours, or you will be billed the full retail MSRP.
  • Size/Model Swaps: Permitted within the first 72 hours for a $35 fee (unless upgrading to a pricier tier).

Insurance & Support

  • Insurance: Cleveland HME is 100% private-pay (no Medicare/Medicaid/insurance accepted). Itemized receipts can be provided for self-submission.
  • Life-Sustaining (Oxygen) Emergencies: 24/7 support with an emergency technician dispatched within 2 hours.
  • Standard Emergencies (Beds/Wheelchairs): Handled during next-business-day hours (resolved within 24–48 hours).
