Sizing Tips
Seat Width: Measure the widest part of your hips while sitting and add 2" for comfort.
Seat Depth: Measure from the back of your hip to the back of your knee. There should be a 1–2" gap between the edge of the seat and your calf.
Floor to Seat: Measure from the floor to the back of your knee. This ensures your feet rest flat, which is critical for a safe "lift" transfer.
- The 90-Degree Rule: When seated, your hips, knees, and ankles should all be at a 90-degree angle with your feet flat on the floor.
- Measure Hip-to-Hip: Measure the user's widest point (usually the hips) while seated. Add 1–2 inches of "wiggle room" to find the ideal Seat Width.
- Seat Depth Check: Measure from the back of the hip to the back of the knee. There should be a small gap (about two fingers) between the seat edge and the back of your knee to prevent circulation issues.
- Wall Clearance: Don't forget to check the "Distance from Wall" spec. Most standard recliners need 14" to 21" of space behind them to fully recline.

Scooter VS Power Chair Joystick Controller Guide
Powerchair (Joystick)
- Design: Uses a compact 360-degree joystick usually mounted on the armrest.
- Control: Movement is intuitive—push the stick in the direction you want to go. Speed is controlled by how far you tilt the stick.
- Effort: Requires one-handed, minimal effort. It can be operated with just a finger or a wrist, making it ideal for those with limited arm strength.
- Precision: Offers a zero-turn radius, allowing the chair to spin in place. This is essential for indoor use, narrow hallways, and doorways.
- Top Feature: Highly programmable; technicians can adjust acceleration and sensitivity to match the user's motor skills.
Power Scooter (Tiller)
- Design: Uses a steering column (tiller) with handlebars, similar to a bicycle.
- Control: Forward and reverse are typically handled by wig-wag levers (pushed with thumbs or pulled with fingers).
- Effort: Generally requires two-handed operation and enough upper-body strength to hold the arms out and turn the column.
- Precision: Has a larger turning radius, making it better suited for outdoor use, sidewalks, and large shopping centers.
- Top Feature: Often includes a Delta Tiller, a wraparound handle that allows users with arthritis or limited hand strength to steer using their palms.

Short vs Long Term Homecare Medical Beds
Short term use (1 month - 1.5 years)
- Duration: Typically 1–4 months (e.g., post-surgery, broken hip, or short-term rehab).
- Primary Goal: To provide a safe, elevated surface for medical procedures and to assist with getting in and out of bed during a temporary mobility dip.
- Common Bed Choice: Standard Full Electric or even Semi-Electric. Since the need is temporary, homeowners often prioritize basic functionality and lower cost.
- Mattress Choice: Usually a ARUBA-200 or ALX Foam Mattress Basic is sufficient for short-term use. Use MER-SAPM53 Low Air Loss for short term APM mattress use.
Long term use (Immediate - 10 Years)
- Duration: 5 months to 10+ years (e.g., aging seniors, ALS, MS, dementia, paralysis, etc.).
- Primary Goal: Preventing secondary complications like Decubitus Ulcers (bedsores) and reducing the physical & mental toll on caregivers.
- Common Bed Choice: Low Beds (for fall risk) or Auto-Rotating Beds. These specialized beds offer "Independence" features that standard beds do not.
- Mattress Choice: High-end Pressure Relief mattresses (Gel, Memory Foam, or Low Air Loss / Alternating Air w/ foam) are essential to prevent skin breakdown over years of use. Decubitus Ulcers are one of the major issues we face when dealing with long-term care patients who are in bed all day.
Insurance Common Questions
No, we do not accept insurance. Our experience has shown that working directly with customers allows us to provide higher-quality products and personalized service without the limitations often associated with insurance coverage.
We prioritize offering top-tier products and services. Insurance constraints often limit the quality and selection of equipment. By operating outside of insurance, we ensure you receive the best solutions tailored to your needs.
Financing Information
We offer more ways to pay than almost any other DME provider in Cleveland. Whether you want a standard monthly installment plan or wish to use your healthcare savings, we have you covered.
1. Buy Now, Pay Later (Installment Plans)
We’ve integrated the world’s most trusted "Buy Now, Pay Later" platforms. These allow you to split your purchase into interest-free payments or longer-term monthly installments.
- Affirm, Shop Pay, Klarna, & Afterpay
2. Specialized Medical Financing
- CareCredit: The most trusted name in healthcare financing. Use your CareCredit card to pay for mobility scooters, lift chairs, and more with specialized promotional financing options.
3. Tax-Advantaged Savings
- FSA & HSA (Flex Spending): Many of our products, from lift chairs to power wheelchairs, are FSA/HSA eligible. Use your pre-tax dollars to save significantly on your purchase.
4. Modern Digital Wallets
- Apple Pay, Google Pay, & PayPal.
Select Your Product: We find the right scooter, power wheelchair, or lift chair in store.
The Digital Invoice: We create a secure invoice through Shopify.
The Link: I’ll send that invoice directly to your smartphone via text or to your email address. ✅
You Control the Rest: You click the link on your own device, choose your favorite financing option (Shop Pay, Affirm, or Klarna), and get an answer in seconds.
The process is typically pretty quick and instant approval/denial. To get an instant decision, these providers usually ask for:
- Full Legal Name & Mobile Number
- Current Home Address
- Date of Birth
- The last 4 digits of your Social Security Number ✅
The computer does the heavy lifting. Within about 30–60 seconds of submitting your info, you’ll see one of three things:
- Option A (Approved for "Pay in 4"): You’ll be offered 4 equal, interest-free payments (one every two weeks). This is great for items under $1,000. ✅
- Option B (Approved for Monthly Financing): For bigger items like hospital beds, you’ll see monthly options (6, 12, or 18 months). You’ll see the exact dollar amount and the interest rate (if any) upfront.
- Option C (Down Payment Required): Sometimes, the system will ask for a small percentage upfront (like 10%) and finance the rest.
This is the most common concern we hear, and here is the honest truth from our experience:
- It’s Not Just a Score: These companies look at more than just a FICO score. They look at your current "buying power" and your history with their specific app.
- Lenient Approval: Affirm and Klarna are often much more lenient than traditional banks or credit card companies. We see people with "fair" or "building" credit get approved every day. ✅
- No Risk to Try: Because it’s a soft credit pull to check, it literally doesn't hurt to try. If you are declined, the system will tell you why (usually via email), and it won't impact your ability to get a loan elsewhere later.
- Building Credit: Starting in 2025, many of these providers began reporting on-time payments to credit bureaus. This means using these tools responsibly can actually help improve your credit score over time! ✅

- Instant Decisions & High Limits: You can apply online or right here in our showroom and get a decision in seconds. CareCredit often provides higher credit limits than standard cards, specifically designed to cover "big-ticket" items like homecare medical beds and luxury lift chairs.
